Surprisingly, the Cavaliers have won a whopping 17 games in a row against the Magic. Even before James rejoined the Cavs, the Magic have had a hard time against them, including a statistically improbable collapse. The Hornets are still a pretty talented team despite their recent struggles and will be a tough matchup for the Magic. Hopefully, the Magic can grab a win or two and save face against a strong playoff candidate. The Magic have a relatively young roster that still has room to grow.
Of course, everyone is going to watch Lonzo Ball, but the Los Angeles Lakers have a national fanbase that will be filling the Amway Center. This is a bit of a budding rivalry with some interestingly fun and close games between the two teams in recent years. If health is on their side, the 76ers could make a playoff push. While the Magic could take advantage of seven home games in a row to move up the standings.

As the Orlando Magic wrap up their season, they will be going north of the border to take on Serge Ibaka and the Toronto Raptors. This game will also be on NBATV and be the last chance for the national audience to see Orlando in action. It may not garner the casual audience, but diehard fans will get a nice look at a pair of teams whose futures appear bright. Plus, seeing Oladipo is always a fun storyline to get behind. James will come to town to open up a three-game homestand for Orlando in early February . Although the Magic will be heavy underdogs when this game comes around, playing the defending Eastern Conference champions will make headlines around the city.
Now that Orlando has the bragging rights, the team will have to continue to shock their in-state rivals. Here is a summary of the Magic's rest days and national TV games, along with their full NBA schedule. It is the first time in a while James makes only one appearance in Orlando.
Where do the Orlando Magic play?
It was an odd series last year due to how strong the Wizards looked last season. Orlando caught Washington early while Washington was struggling and picked up a few wins before mid-December. There is a chance the Magic have their number now and can hopefully take two games again from a sure-fire playoff team.
At the tail end of 2017, the Orlando Magic will be facing defending division champion Washington Wizards. The Toronto core is still intact and DeMar DeRozan appears to be one of the best shooting guards in the league. If Kyle Lowry can remain healthy, the Raptors can continue their reign among the Eastern Conference’s elite. In recent years, the Magic have struggled in the month of December and playing the Warriors on the first does not bode well to start the month. The Magic have an easy stretch after Golden State, but getting a win here would be massive.

The Magic used their long late-December home stand to build some wins and momentum to be squarely in the Playoff hunt as the calendar turned. Someone will have to grab it and all five teams seem to be in that middle bunch of teams in the Eastern Conference. The first game of the season is always the one we look forward to most. Former Magic standout Dwight Howard, who helped the franchise reach the 2009 NBA Finals and the 2010 East Finals, signed with Atlanta in the offseason. Howard’s hometown Hawks play in Orlando on Jan. 4 and Feb. 25. In February, Orlando will host the San Antonio Spurs (Feb. 15) in the final game before the break for the NBA All-Star Game.
Ibaka and Vogel will be making homecomings of sorts in November. Ibaka, who spent the first seven seasons of his NBA career in Oklahoma City, will face the Thunder in OKC on Nov. 13. The next night, Vogel returns to Indiana, the city where he guided the Pacers to the playoffs in five of the past six seasons. Vogel, who coached 5 ½ seasons previously with the Indiana Pacers, was hired in late May.
Still, Los Angeles seems to be positioning to make a splash in free agency. It may be silly, but the Lakers are going to garner tremendous attention next year. When they come to Orlando for the first time, NBA fans will be itching to see him play.
When the NBA unveiled its schedule for the upcoming season on Thursday, it showed that the Magic and the Heat will square off in the regular-season opener at Orlando’s Amway Center on Oct. 26. International Basketball Stats Players, Teams, Seasons, Leaders, Awards... The Magic will play seven games in October , 15 games in November , 15 games in December , 13 games in January , 11 games in February , 14 games in March and seven games in April . There is also a large video display board outside of the arena visible to visitors and motorists travelling along the nearby interstate.
No matter how the season looks at this point, it will be bittersweet to see the season come to an end. During a lengthy March homestand, the Orlando Magic will have another nationally televised game against the Philadelphia 76ers. Like the Pacers game, there will be plenty of young talent on display.
